Statement

Brittany Steele’s art exists at the intersection of the organic, the electric, and the fluid.

Petals hum, color vibrates, water ripples, oceans pulse, and landscapes seem charged with light — the natural world at the moment it appears heightened, almost sentient. She works in mixed media: saturated acrylic, oil pens, hologram mica pigments, dichroic film, diamond dust, alcohol ink and resin.

Rather than depicting what is seen, the work renders what is felt — the pulse beneath perception, the electricity within color itself, and the flowing currents that connect all elements of life.

Read the full statement

Within these paintings, nature transforms: petals hum, color vibrates, water ripples, oceans pulse, and landscapes seem charged with light and energy. Brittany is drawn to moments where the natural world appears heightened — almost sentient — and she translates that sensation through mixed media, including saturated palettes of acrylic, oil pens, layered textures, hologram mica pigments, dichroic film, diamond dust, alcohol ink and some resin. The result is an immersive environment that feels alive, inviting viewers to experience the sensation of being within the scene itself rather than observing it from afar.

Having explored multiple creative disciplines, Brittany approaches painting with a layered perspective shaped by diverse artistic experiences. This eclectic background informs the way she structures compositions, layers colors, and plays with texture and perspective, allowing instinct, emotion, and imagination to converge. Painting remains her central force — the medium through which energy, sensation, and vision find their fullest expression.

Each piece is a living atmosphere, a convergence of nature, light, and emotion — a space where viewers can lose themselves in the luminous intensity of experience, while simultaneously feeling deeply connected to the natural world, reminding us all that we are one.
